Privacy Policy

Who we are

Flores Podcast Productions is a fully remote, US-based podcast production studio operating from Sacramento, California. This policy covers this website and the forms on it. It does not cover the separate agreements we sign with production clients, which set their own confidentiality terms.

What we collect

We keep this deliberately small. We collect three things:

1. What you send us through the contact form

Our contact form asks for your first name and email address, and optionally your phone number, what stage your podcast is in, a link to an existing show, and a message. Submissions are stored in this website's database and emailed to us. Only the first name and email are required — everything else is yours to skip.

2. Your email address, if you subscribe

If you sign up for studio notes through the form in our footer, we store your email address in a list on this website so we can send you occasional production tips and updates. Every email includes a way to unsubscribe.

3. Basic, anonymous traffic data

We run first-party, cookieless analytics built into this site. It records which pages were viewed, roughly where visits came from, and what kind of device was used. It does not set tracking cookies, does not follow you across other websites, and is not shared with an advertising network. We never see who you are from this data.

Our host and security plugins also keep standard server and security logs, which include IP addresses, for the purpose of keeping the site online and blocking abuse.

What we do with it

• Reply to your enquiry and talk with you about your show.
• Send the newsletter, if you asked for it.
• Understand which pages are useful so we can improve the site.
• Keep the site secure and functioning.

That is the whole list. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers.

Cookies and similar technology

This site does not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. WordPress may set a small number of functional cookies, and if a popup is shown to you, a cookie records that so you are not shown it repeatedly. Our analytics does not use cookies at all. You can block or clear cookies in your browser at any time; the site will still work.

Services we rely on

A few third parties process data on our behalf in the ordinary course of running the site:

• Our web host, which stores the site and its database and keeps server logs.
• Akismet, which checks form submissions for spam. This means the content of a submission is sent to Akismet for that check.
• Google Fonts, which serves the typefaces used on this site. Loading a font means your browser contacts Google's servers, which receives your IP address.
• Our email provider, which delivers the messages sent from the site.

We may also disclose information if we are legally required to.

How long we keep it

Contact form submissions are kept for as long as they are useful to an active or potential working relationship, and cleared out periodically after that. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is aggregated and not tied to you. Security and server logs roll over on our host's normal schedule.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Use the contact form and we will take care of it.

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act gives you specific rights: to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, to request deletion, to request correction, and to not be discriminated against for exercising those rights. Because we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising, there is nothing to opt out of — but the request rights still apply, and you can exercise them through the contact form.

If you are in the UK or the EU, you also have the right to object to processing, to request a portable copy of your data, and to complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

This site is aimed at organizations and professionals. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes will be obvious rather than buried.
